public enum TransitionType
extends Enum<TransitionType>

The type of transition. According to the UML specification (2.5 b1 pag. 377), state machine transition can be divided into three type.

Enum Constant Summary

EXTERNAL
Implies that the Transition, if triggered, will exit the composite (source) State.

INTERNAL
Implies that the Transition, if triggered, occurs without exiting or entering the source State (i.e., it does not cause a state change).

LOCAL
Implies that the Transition, if triggered, will not exit the composite (source) State, but it will exit and re-enter any state within the composite State that is in the current state configuration.

Enum Constant Detail

INTERNAL

public static final TransitionType INTERNAL

Implies that the Transition, if triggered, occurs without exiting or entering the source State (i.e., it does not cause a state change). This means that the entry or exit condition of the source State will not be invoked. An internal Transition can be taken even if the SateMachine is in one or more Regions nested within the associated State.

LOCAL

public static final TransitionType LOCAL

Implies that the Transition, if triggered, will not exit the composite (source) State, but it will exit and re-enter any state within the composite State that is in the current state configuration.

EXTERNAL

public static final TransitionType EXTERNAL

Implies that the Transition, if triggered, will exit the composite (source) State.

public static TransitionType[] values()

Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:

for (TransitionType c : TransitionType.values())
    System.out.println(c);

Returns:

an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared

valueOf

public static TransitionType valueOf(String name)

Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)

Parameters:

name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.

Returns:

the enum constant with the specified name

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name

NullPointerException - if the argument is null
