Class Overview

The Run Category is an attribute of a Pay Group identifying a type of payroll run (for example, Regular or Bonus) with its own Period Schedule. Whenever a reference date (such as a Start or End Date) is supplied, an associated Run Category must be specified, in order to resolve the date to an appropriate pay Period. When Run Category is not provided, the system defaults Run Category to Regular.
