convert

FromHostResult<T> convert(byte[] hostData)

Converts the mainframe data into an object.

Parameters:

hostData - a byte array holding mainframe data

Returns:

a result containing the produced object and how many bytes were actually processed in hostData

convert

FromHostResult<T> convert(byte[] hostData,
                          int start,
                          int length)

Converts the mainframe data starting at the specified position into an object.

Parameters:

hostData - a byte array holding mainframe data

start - where to start in the mainframe byte array

length - where to stop in the mainframe byte array

Returns:

a result containing the produced object and how many bytes were actually processed in hostData
