public interface ResourceProvider

Provides methods for retrieving and setting Conjur variable secrets.

Despite its broad name, this interface is scoped to variable/secret operations. For general Conjur resource interactions (listing, counting, etc.) see ResourcesProvider.

Method Detail

retrieveSecret

String retrieveSecret(String variableId)

Fetch the value of a secret in the specified variable

Parameters:

variableId - - id of the variable

Returns:

The value of a secret from the specified variable

addSecret

void addSecret(String variableId,
               String secret)

Creates a secret value within the specified variable

Parameters:

variableId - - id of the variable

secret - - Secret value within the specified variable

retrieveBatchSecrets

default Map<String,String> retrieveBatchSecrets(String... variableIds)

Fetch multiple secret values in one invocation. It's faster to fetch secrets in batches than to fetch them one at a time.

Parameters:

variableIds - the variable IDs to retrieve (without account prefix)

Returns:

a map of variable ID to secret value
