Glossary

Template: A template represents a part of the query. It could be a column, an operation, a filter, or a way to order your data.
Sentence Template: A sentence template is a combination of templates in a sentence form. These are only available initially to help you build a query faster and easier.

How do I use NLP Search?

Select the NLP Search type which will change the data you are querying on
Build your query by starting with the "column" template or selecting from a list of sentence templates
After adding in a template, you will be prompted to fill it out with the necessary information
Once the template is completed, click on the dropdown to add more templates
Click "Execute" to run your query and view the results
Select a result to visualize the Insight

What are the different NLP Search types?

Global: This will search for suggestions on all of your SEMOSS databases. Use the filter to narrow down the databases you want to query on.
Current Frame: If you open NLP Search in an insight with imported data, you can choose to only query on that data instead of across all your databases.

What is the recommended chart type?

NLP Search will recommend a chart type based on what other users typically select for your dataset. If you want to choose a specific chart type, then you can select a different one from the dropdown.
